Facial Paralysis and Bell's Palsy Research

We couldn't tell our patients and supporters that we are doing all we can for sufferers of Bell's Palsy and Facial Paralysis if we weren't involved in progressing our knowledge of it too. Our deep involvement in research regarding facial paralysis is incredibly important to all involved, and we are dedicated to keeping you up-to-date with any news and new data that we find.

Here at the Facial Paralysis Foundation, directed by Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, we work both alone and with other foundations and organizations to further research in this area. Dr. Azizzadeh is also the director of the Bell's Palsy and Facial Paralysis Foundation; an organization specializing in facial paralysis research for non-profit, providing surgery pro-bono to patients who need it the most. As a result, the two foundations work very closely, often in unison when dealing with new facial paralysis research.

As well as carrying out active research, the physicians and medical experts working at the Facial Paralysis Foundation publish regular papers and reports to serve as reference and as a useful resource for other organizations carrying out trials and testing hypotheses. You can learn about them in more detail on our page 'Learn About the Foundation', but as a brief introduction, our team of physicians are:
